Childhood cancers are different from adult cancers in development, treatment, tolerance of therapy and prognosis. Pediatric cancer experts from the MCW Cancer Center and staff from Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW) are dedicated to research, early diagnosis, and treatment of children’s cancer. They are also critical in helping children and their families through the process. As a member of several early-phase research consortia, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin offers patients and families access to new, innovative treatment options for childhood cancer. In addition, it offers several early phase studies developed by their own researchers as well as multi-center clinical trials initiated by partners at leading programs around the country.
